For those of you who regularly pray for us, thank you. We think about you all every day (and I'm not just saying that we really do). We miss our home, family and friends more then anything right now so don't forget to keep us updated on things back home, receiving messages from you all are the highlights of my days here.

Ask and You Will Receive
This week we have felt so loved and taken care of by people at our church. When we moved into our apartment here there was a lot of things we didn't have that we needed. Since we are on a very tight budget the only things we could really aford to buy were a couple of towels, a clothes iron and a baking sheet (that ended up being to big to even fit in our oven). We have gone a few months with out things and it was hard but we felt like we had been given so much already that we shouldn't ask for more. We finally decided to make a list of things we needed and we gave it to our friend Ronnie (one of the pastors at our church) and he circulated it through out the church. We weren't sure what to expect but with guests coming to visit soon we were hoping we would at least get some blanket and pillows for them to sleep with. Anyways, you know that part in the bible "ask and you will receive"? Well sometimes it really is that easy. We just sent the letter out at the beginning of the week and we have already received blankets, pillow cases, and pots and we have people who have said they will drop off pillows, sheets, a blender and casserole dishes at the church for us this week. It's so easy to worry about things like money and what you don't have when you are doing a job like Jeremy and I. It's when you don't have a lot and you can't think of any way of getting it your self that God provides. Or sometimes maybe it just takes a time in our lives when we don't have everything we want to notice that God has been providing all along. Sometimes it's hard to have to rely on Him for everything but we are learning to not be so scared and to trust. It's going to be hard to make myself not worry for these next 9 months but I know that by the end of it I will have so much more faith that God can and will provide us with everything we need.

Blanket Making
I have picked up a new hobby in the last few weeks. I have been crocheting blankets. It might not sound like that much fun but I love it! I just bought a book and taught myself how to do it. I don't follow any patterns (they don't make much sense to me) I just make up my own. I have finished one baby blanket already and am about half way done another. A few of you have wanted to see some photos so here is the finished one. I will post more photos when I have finished more.
Trigg Point
I finally went to the beach. I haven't been in probably 6 weeks. It's getting a bit cold for the beach here but Jeremy really wanted me to come watch him surf and take some photos. Well the surf wasn't very good so i didn't actually get any of him in the water but I still took some alright ones. We went to Trigg beach and it's really nice, I haven't been there before but it's one of my favorites now!
Jeremy is leading worship at the morning services this week. It's only his second time leading in the morning, he normally leads at night. I'm sure he will do great. There isn't much to update you about right now, just another regular week here in Perth.

Much awaited update
Sorry that I have been so bad at updating. I keep telling myself that I will update at least once a week, but the weeks have just been going by so fast! Nothing too exciting has happened in the last couple weeks so you haven't been missing out on too much. Jeremy continues to do really well in worship ministry. He is currently planning a secular music concert at the church as a kind of outreach event. I think he is planning on doing 3 while we are here. It is planned for mid-May and he is very excited about it. He also is getting better and better at surfing. He and a friend, Josh, go out 2-3 mornings a week (usually before work). I haven't been out to watch him in a while because they go so early but I will try to get out soon to take some photos.
We had a fun event with the children's ministry on friday called Night Owls. The kids came to the church with the parents and we played games and had a blast. Everyone really enjoyed it. I had a few parents come up to me on Sunday saying how nice it was to be able to get out and do something fun with their kids. I will be slowing down on my work at the church for a bit starting in May because we have a lot of family coming to visit. I will still be teaching on Sunday mornings but not doing as much office work so that I can spend time with visitors. I can't wait for people to start coming I think it will help a lot with missing home. Also it will mean that we finally get to go out and see Perth more. My cousin Kelsey and her boyfriend Joe are the first to come on May 7th.
Jeremy and I have also been trying to find little ways to make some extra money while we are here because we aren't sure how are fundraising will keep up. Every weekend we sell parking spaces for the Aussie rules football games. I am also doing a bit of hair on the side and Jeremy is doing a bit of landscaping in the parking area where we sell spaces. Everything helps right!
I think that is all for now. Please keep us in your prayers. It has been a lot harder for me then I thought it would be to be away from home. Sometimes I feel like another 9 months might be impossible. Thanks for all your support, we think about you all the time.
