Fun Times With Jessica
Jeremy and I have been having a great week so far! On Sunday I picked up our friend Jessica from the airport just a few hours before Jer arrived home from New Zealand. We have been having a blast with her. On monday we took her to the wildlife park and it was fun as usual. There weren't many people there because the weather wasn't great so it was nice for us. The kangaroos were a little over excited to see us because they hadn't had many visitors that day. We also had to make a stop at the chocolate factory on our way home of coarse! We have done a few other fun things since she has been here like when we went to Kings Park and had a great day of playing frisbee, going for walks and taking photos. Today it was a beautiful day so we took her to the beach and Jer taught her how to surf. She did great! We are now having a Prison Break marathon at our apartment and baking brownies. What a great day! Jessica will only be here for another 2 days, she has been traveling around Singapore and Australia for the last 6 weeks and we are her last stop. After that we have a couple weeks free and then we head over to Sydney where we will meet Jeremy's parents and younger brother and attend the Hillsongs Conference.
New Zealand Conference
Jeremy got back from New Zealand a few days ago and he had a great time. He was gone for 6 days at a pastors conference. Our senior pastor was teaching at it and brought Jeremy along with him to help out with the worship. Jeremy loved New Zealand and said that it reminded him a lot of home (I wish I could have seen it!). He said the conference went great, our pastor is an amazing speaker/teacher. I heard that Jeremy did a great time with the worship. He did it with another worship leader from New Zealand, they took turns leading. The name of the man he played with was Chris Opie and I guess he goes on all kinds of tours with his worship band and he asked Jeremy to play with his band for his upcoming US tour. Unfortunately he can't do it because we are here but they are keeping in touch and hoping that Jeremy can join them next year when we are home and they come to the US. It sounds like it was a great ministry experience for him and I'm so happy he got take advantage of it.

Come Home!
I have been home alone for one night and one day now (doesn't seem that long I know) and it's no fun at all! I miss my husband and I can't wait for him to come home tomorrow. It's strange, you think that 6 days is no big deal but when you have been living with someone for over a year and are hardly ever apart it feels like months! It doesn't help that the first time he called me was today and he could only talk long enough to tell me that I don't have to pick him up at the airport tomorrow. I find that I don't sleep very well alone anymore....Weird.
Down South and Such
Okay, so it's been awhile since I have updated and much has happened. I will try not to make it too long. My mom was with us for 2 weeks (one of the reasons I have been too busy to update). She left last night after quite the trip. On Sunday she stayed home while Jeremy and I went to church. When we got home we had a big surprise. My mom had broken her foot! We spent almost 6 hours at the hospital before they finally put her in the cast. Needless to say I was dissapointed that we didn't get to bring her to church in the evening, it would have been a great opportunity for her to see what we have been doing over here.
Even though she was on crutches my mom still wanted to make to trip down south to Margaret River. It was just her and I because Jeremy was off to New Zealand for 6 days for a pastors conference with Graham Johnston, the senior pastor of our church. The drive was 4 hours and quite the adventure since both my mother and I have a terrible time getting lost. We made it though and had a great time. We missed out on doing a few things because mom couldn't get around too easily but we still got to go exploring and we ate some fantastic food. It is so beautiful down there, the drive lone was worth the trip. We stayed in this fabulous resort and had our own private cabin in the middle of the bush. They supplied us with food to feed the animals because they come up too your back door in search of something to eat every day. We almost had a few kangaroos sneak into our cabin when we weren't looking! It was so cool. The resort is on a animal reserve type thing, where they are trying to bread certain animals that are endagered so there was so much to see! Mom also splurged and got us massages and facials. They come right to your cabin so you don't even have to go anywhere! Another great thing about Margaret River is the Chocolate Factory, the best chocolate I have ever had! It was a great trip and I miss my mom already!
Anyways I will try to update you on how Jeremy's conference went when he tells me about it (he has only phoned me once, can you believe that?). We have a friend coming to stay with us for a week and she arrives tomorrow so I am trying to get everything ready for her. All these visitors are a lot of work:)

My Mom has been here since saturday and it's been go great! We have done few things so far like go to the wildlife park that we went to the week before with Jason and Kristin, we went to the aquarium. Yesterday we spent 3 hours walking around Kings Park only to realize when we got home that I had left my keys in the house and locked the door. My mom is so funny, always cleaning and organizing our apartment, she can't sit still! Anyways, here are a few photos from the wildlife park. I think we are going to head over to the beach today, it's so nice out!
Sorry I haven't posted a ministry update lately. I have been so overwhelmed with having family here it's hard to think of much else! Everything at the church is still going great. We are learning so much. I am taking a little break while we have people visiting from going into the office but I am still teaching on Sundays and helping out when I can. Jeremy is writing a lot of music for the churched worship album and doing really well at leading on Sundays. That's all for now!

Mom's Here
My mom came in Yesterday and it's so nice having her here. She got in at 6:20am so after we picked her up we all had a little nap. Then later that day we went out for lunch and in the middle of lunch the biggest storm ever broke out. The loudest thunder I have ever heard, lightening and rain like crazy. We ran home with umbrellas but still got soaked. After we dried off we went and got a few movies and just spent the day at home. Mom brought me some new wool and blanket patterns to crochet so I did that as well.
Today we had a really good service at church. Sunday school is going really well and I think the kids are learning a lot. After church we went to the aquarium and it was really fun. There are a lot of really neat things there. I think tomorrow we are going back to the wildlife park with mom. I know she will love it and I don't think i will get sick of it any time soon because it is so cool! So be ready to see some more photos of kangaroos and koalas!
