Worship Music Update

For awhile now Jeremy has been spending every Wednesday writing music. Our church is recording an album in a couple months and he has been busy writing songs for it. He has played a couple of them for me but on Sunday I heard it played with a band for the first time during the evening service. It was amazing. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was floored. I have always known that he was very talented with his music but this was the first time I have heard him play a worship song that he wrote with a band. Let me tell you God had given my husband some amazing talent (I might be a little bias but I really think you will all agree with me when you hear these songs)! It was a beautiful song and I am so excited for it to be shared with more people. When the album is finished I will make sure he puts it up for you all to have a listen.

Last Couple Weeks

Alright so I will just give you a brief summary of our last couple weeks. Jeremy's parents and younger brother came back to Perth with us when we left Sydney and we left for Margaret River almost right away. Margaret River was great! We went to some great wineries and beautiful beaches. My favorite things we did was go to this cave called Lake Cave. It's pretty much self explanitory, a giant cave with a lake in it. Absolutely beautiful! When we got back to Perth we did so much. A few of the fun things were going to Freo to see the old prison, the Caversham Wildlife Park to play with the roos, listening to mom and dad do some speaking at our church and going through Kings Park. The best part was just having them here with is. It really made us want to come home. We are more then half way through our time here and while we love the church and the city it's just not home. I'm sure we will miss a lot about Perth when we come home (mainly the weather and amazing church) but home is just home and I don't think anything can really beat that no matter how sunny and uplifting. God has been great at teaching us some amazing things through some amazing people here but I think we are feeling ready to start our lives back home. Having family leave just makes it so much harder!

Sydney

So we just got back from a week in Sydney. For the first 5 days we were at the Hillsong conference. It was amazing. That's all I can really say. It was so refreshing and uplifting. God did some amazing things there this week. The worship was amazing, the speakers were amazing. My favorite speaker was a young guy named Judah Smith. He is from Seattle and he was amazing. Amazing seems to be the only was I can describe the week. I wish it wasn't so far away or I would go every year.
We got to see our friends Ben and Karalee while we were there as well. They work at Hillsong so we actually got to see them a lot. It was so good to see a familiar face from home (Kare is from Langley as well but lives in Sydney now).
The last 3 days we were in Sydney Jeremy's parents and younger brother joined us. We spent most of the time just exploring around the city. It was great! It was world youth week while we were there as well and it was so crowed. All the youth getting ready to see the pope really clogged the city up. But we had a great time.
Now we are back in Perth and it is so good to be back. We head off to Margaret River tomorrow for 3 nights. It should be nice and relaxing I hope. I will try to update again when we get back.

Traveling

On Friday night the children's ministry held a fundraiser so that we can send 10 people (me included) to a conference in Melbourne in August. It went so well. We have been selling tickets to go see Kung Fu Panda at the church and we sold a ton. So on Friday night we went to the theatre and the movie was pretty cute. It was a bit hard to watch it all because I was getting pretty distracted by all the kids but it was a great evening. Hopefully we made enough money to pay for a few flights over there. I have heard that the children's conference is really great and I am looking forward to being there and seeing what God has to teach me through that experience. I know that I am not looking forward to the flying bit though. For those of you who don't know I am going on 4 trips in 4 months and I HATE flying! I shouldn't be complaining really because I get to go to some great places, but I really do just hate to travel.
We leave for Sydney tonight. We are catching the redeye. Not fun. But we get to go to the Hillsong conference and meet up with a couple friends while we are there are well. Jeremy's parents and younger brother are meeting us there and then coming back to Perth for 2 weeks.
For those of you who are wondering about my other trips coming up. Well, there is Sydney this month, Melbourne in August, I am coming home in September for 2 weeks for a friends wedding (unfortunately Jeremy wont be coming with me) and we are planning on going on a missions trip to Kenya in October. I think after all of this I will be done with traveling for a while.
